Grade: C — Type: Mexican — Clean: Yep — Decor: fab-ish
second try on the same day as the muchas gracias on my way back to ashland, for an edible cheese enchilada.
this is a fast food building taken over, nice enough inside that it may had been rebuilt after the wild fire that burned the towns around, so it was pretty clean. the tables the did the decor with were not too tall, nice dark color, floors were clean, trash areas cleaned up.
i walked in and the door had an alert sound for the people at the counter or in kitchen know someone has entered. this was not a pleasant 7-11 bing dong. the is a shrill exreemely load electionic beep that is not short intalled at ear level that is a shock to you when you open the door. youth today, the counter person just started blank when i made mention of it.
food ordered, 1 cheese enchilada, a la cart. no lettuce, no tomato, sour cream on top, just a cheese enchilada. they have a small salsa bar, an old style mexican restaurant chip salsa with not a lot of tomato, more sauce… pico lite. a hot red i didn’t get because i wasnt in the mood. a green tomatillo and an ‘avacado’ one.
the food was done, and…. boooo. lettuce on top. this is ALWAYS my most direct ordering of food. i DO NOT EVER, EVER EVER, or even EVER want lettuce put on top of my hot food. i actually don’t want it there EVER even. jeeeeeez
so the cheese was melting out on the plate, the enchilada sauce was unknown if a brand or house made, it was not bad. they make their own salsas so could had been house. i was going to ask but got in a bad when i got have was in turned out it needed another minute.. they tossed on that lettuce too soon as the cheese on this melted cheese dish, was not melted all the way. bummmer. but i will actually try this place again, becuase there pico lite was actually good, the others, well, did not go well with an unmelted cheese enchilada
